Regional bodies such as the African Union should strengthen mechanisms for monitoring elections, mediating conflicts, and promoting good governance. Peer pressure among African nations can encourage adherence to democratic principles and hold leaders accountable for their actions.
International support and solidarity are also critical. The global community should prioritize democracy promotion through diplomatic engagement, development assistance, and partnerships with civil society. Supporting efforts to build resilient democratic institutions and uphold human rights reinforces the collective commitment to democratic values worldwide.
